Swap and Trade is for items offered in exchange rather than through a straightforward cash sale. Advertisers can explain what they have, what type of item they would consider receiving and whether a cash adjustment in either direction is part of the proposal. Both sides should assess condition and value independently rather than assuming two items are equivalent because an exchange has been suggested. Ownership, serial numbers, documents and authenticity should be checked where they would matter in an ordinary purchase. Agree exactly what is being exchanged before meeting and inspect both sides of the trade before completing it. For higher-value items, written confirmation of the agreed exchange can help avoid later disputes about what was included.
